At the heart of every story lies a timeless calling: to bring warmth to another soul.

Jenny Lin

Jenny Lin, born on January 6, 2007, has been immersed in art since early childhood. From spontaneous scribbles at the age of two to her current artistic practice, she has nurtured a distinct personal style anchored in emotional expression and thoughtful observation. Jenny sees the world with sharp sensitivity — noticing subtle shifts in color, light, and mood — and translates these impressions into works rich with detail and meaning.

Her art is characterized by bold color contrasts, layered tones, and a strong sense of visual rhythm, creating vibrant and multidimensional compositions. Her versatility across media reflects patience, perseverance, and a continuous desire to learn. Open to critique and growth, she steadily refines her technique and explores new artistic languages.

Jenny’s works are frequently showcased at school, where she has been awarded an art scholarship and serves as the Art Director of her boarding house. At the age of ten, she fell deeply in love with anime, later building her own anime video platform. Cosplay has also become a beloved part of her creative identity — she never misses Hong Kong’s annual Cosplay Festival, embracing it as a joyful celebration of imagination and self-expression.

Art Scholarship

Art has always been my language—a way to observe, feel, and interpret the world around me. Claude Monet, with his devotion to light, colour, and atmosphere, has been a profound inspiration on my artistic journey. His ability to transform ordinary scenes into poetic experiences encourages me to explore emotion through vibrant tones, layered textures, and shifting perspectives.

As an Art Scholar at Harrow International School, I continue to grow my voice as an artist, creating works that invite viewers not just to see, but to experience a moment, a feeling, and the quiet beauty found in everyday life.

Jenny chose to present Christine Ay Tjoe’s Study of First September Doll at Christie’s to articulate her passion for female resilience. Ay Tjoe, a leading Indonesian female artist, uses her platform to explore profound psychological and spiritual struggles, often from a feminist perspective. This powerful, large-scale work, with its visceral mixed-media application, embodies a raw, emotional depth that challenges traditional, polished aesthetics often associated with female artists.

For Jenny, this painting is not a passive object but a testament to active, internal strength. Her learning journey at Christie’s was defined by this discovery—seeing how contemporary female artists like Ay Tjoe command the auction market, transforming personal narrative into public, high-value cultural commentary. The video at Christie’s would capture Jenny explaining how the artwork’s textured surface and haunting figure symbolize the complex process of self-definition, mirroring her own mission to use art and psychology to empower young women to embrace their own complexities and find their powerful, authentic voice.

I am a dedicated "Universe Architect" bridging anime aesthetics and artistic depth. To me, the drawing paper is not a flat surface but a dimensional portal—through original characters and profound settings. Nourished by art exhibitions and her parents' collection, I transform viewing into critical insight and inspirations from the secondary dimension of culture into unique universes that explore the inner self and reality. With familial support that blends passion with strategy, I build unique creative universes while forging a sustainable artistic path. Above all, my work exists to bring warmth to the human spirit, illuminating tender truths within both fantasy and lived experience.
